Spirometer MAS-1 is one leader in the number of studies performed per day among the well-known spirometers because of its design features and specially developed software.

An advanced external breathing sensor (the Fleisch tube) with a heated sensing element provides high throughput of the spirometer with large flows of people being examined. It has no analogs in terms of resistance to repeated sanitation of parts in contact with the patient, without loss of accuracy and does not require daily calibration;

MAS-1 provides the possibility of using both reusable and disposable consumables, including antibacterial filters. Using antibacterial filters is not mandatory. Conducting a study without them does not affect the accuracy and reliability of the spirometer.

The program “SpiroExpert: Professional Examination” can be installed in all models of MAS-1, adapted for conducting mass examinations during medical examinations and professional examinations.

Advantages of using

- reduces the time of a full examination several times (up to 1-1.5 minutes), since the entire set of measurements is performed in one connection of the patient to the device;

- monitors the quality of spirometric tests even during mass examinations. The quality criteria are displayed on the spirometer screen and in the paper protocol;

- interpretation of the ERF study protocols is easy not only for narrow specialists (pulmonologists, allergists) but also for general practitioners. The results of the ERF study are presented as summary diagrams that allow at a glance - without analyzing numerical values - to determine the absence or presence of violations, to identify the type and violation of the ERF. In addition, the spirometer always automatically generates a preliminary conclusion about the state of the ERF;

- provides COPD monitoring mode.

COPD monitoring mode

Because of the automatic storage and accumulation of all the results in the non-volatile memory of the spirometer (at least 50,000 studies), individual patient examination histories are formed during medical examinations, occupational examinations.

At the next examination of the patient, the expert system of the spirometer “MAS-1-A” does not form only a conclusion on the state of the ERF on the date of examination, but always analyzes the data of all previously performed tests from the patient’s file and, having detected a decrease in ventilation parameters more than due during the observation period, informs about it in a printed protocol under the diagnostic criteria of COPD.

The practical application of the program of occupational examinations (for example, in the Healthcare Institution “Soligorsk Central District Hospital”, Soligorsk), provides examination on the spirometer MAS-1 up to 100 patients per shift, up to 6,000-8,000 studies of ERF per year.
